WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR A FULL-SCALE DESIGN PROJECT?
Through our years of design and construction experience, we have developed a streamlined design process. This practice maintains a collaborative approach with little to no stress. Our final deliverable is a comprehensive design package that gives you the confidence in your design and a buildable plan for your construction team.
This process may vary slightly from project to project, most projects typically follows these steps.
DESIGN LAUNCH
After your design process has begun. The project designer starts off by taking measurements, pictures, and video footage of the project site. We collaborate with you on your design vision, goals, and your scope of work making sure no detail is left out.
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
Addison Grace Design will develop the conceptual designs for your project. Through our meetings, we develop a unique understanding of your goals, functionality, and aesthetic requirements. A comprehensive design is created that details your ideas which can include floor plans, elevations, material finishes, paint colours, furniture selections, sketches, and renderings that will illustrate the design to you and your construction team.
PROJECT ACQUISITION & TENDER
After design completion, the entire project will be sent out for tender, (invitation to bid) through Addison Grace Design, yourself, and/or your construction team.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Before construction begins, management of the project is in full swing. Project management is critical to keeping the project on track and on budget. For a successful project, it is crucial to keep a transparent and open line of communication between all construction teams involved, regardless of who is managing it. For some projects, this includes contact with the contractor on a regular basis and for other projects, this includes weekly site meetings.
CLOSEOUT
At the end of the project and the final details are completed, we review the project to ensure that you are happy with the final result. Our goal is to make sure that we have met or exceeded your expectations and you are thrilled with your home and in the end we would love to come over and take pictures of your amazing new space.
