WHAT IS A FULL-SCALE DESIGN PROJECT?
With a full-scale design project, our team can facilitate all aspects of your design. We work with you to create a space that represents your vision and style.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
A complimentary discovery call with one of our designers. We learn more about your home and design goals, while you get to know us and our process.
Our first meeting is about an hour in length; where we further discuss your project in detail and determine a scope of work. A design proposal is created, defining the estimated number of design hours to complete your project.
There is a $125 (+ G.S.T.) fee for this meeting. This fee is credited upon a signed contract.
Our design proposal is sent to you for review. Upon acceptance - sign the proposal, provide the deposit, and we can start work on your project.
We are excited to work with you!
Let's start your project! From initial plans to picking the final finishes, our team of designers will create a package that represents your vision and style.
Full-scale Interior Design Projects are ideal for larger projects.
Here are some examples of common full-scale interior design projects:
- Renovation of an entire floor or house
- Renovation of a bathroom and/or kitchen
- Basement Renovation
- Infill housing project
- New construction
- Commercial Projects
WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR A FULL-SCALE DESIGN PROJECT?
Through our years of design and construction experience, we have developed a streamlined design process. This practice maintains a collaborative approach with little to no stress. Our final deliverable is a comprehensive design package that gives you the confidence in your design and a buildable plan for your construction team.
This process may vary slightly from project to project, most projects typically follows these steps.
After the project scope of work has been defined and the proposal has been accepted, the design process can begin!
The project designer starts off by taking measurements, pictures, and video of the project site. We collaborate with you on your design vision, goals, and your scope of work so that no detail is left out.
Addison Grace Design will develop the conceptual designs for your project. Through our meetings, we develop a unique understanding of your goals, functionality, and aesthetic requirements. We will create a comprehensive design that details your scope of work. This can include floor plans, elevations, material finishes, paint colours, furniture selections, sketches, and renderings to illustrate the design to you and your construction team.
PROJECT ACQUISITION & TENDER
After design completion, the project in its' entirety will be sent out for tender through Addison Grace Design, yourself, and/or your construction team.
Before construction begins, management of the project is in full swing. Project management is critical to keeping the project on track and on budget. During construction, it is crucial to keep a transparent and open line of communication between all construction teams involved in the project. Successful project management relies on communication, regardless of whether you are managing the project yourself, Addison Grace Design is managing the project, or the contractor is managing the project. For some projects, this includes contact with the contractor on a regular basis and for other projects, this includes weekly site meetings.
At the end of the project and the final details are completed, we review the project to ensure that you are happy with the final result. We will want to come by to take some pictures too! Our goal is to make sure that we have met or exceeded your expectations and you are thrilled with your home.
